"Wild Stories"

Wow. What a crazy week indeed. God is defiantly doing something BIG here in Kansas City. Every minute I'm here, I can feel the grain of my heart being shifted. When I got here, I thought I prayed a lot. Psssshhhh. Sike. I wasn't really aware of the eternal weightiness of a prayer life.

See for those who aren't familiar with Ihop(International House of Prayer), it is the "Mission Base" of all the prayer rooms around the world. Meaning, it's kind of like the head quarters. For ten years they have been offering up night and day Prayer and worship. Literally, They haven't stopped praying for ten years. 24/7. They have enough worship leaders to start 50 churches who play a 2 hour worship set in shifts. Here at Ihop, prayer is a culture, not an event. It's a mindset. An attitude of the heart. When I first got involved with Ihop, like 6 years ago, I thought the idea of 24/7 prayer was kind of religious. I mean what can you pray for, for 24 hours? But it wasn't until I got here into the Global Prayer Room that I realized that the whole thing is based upon….I am my beloveds, and He is mine. It's easy to talk to someone all day when you are absolutely raptured and captivated by the splendor and majesty. For real. Like a lot of people talk about Jesus. These cats know him. For real. I fell in love with the prayer room as soon as I got here. It's like it's a big ear. I know God always hears our prayers but there's a significant acceleration in the spirit in the prayer room. But it doesn't stop there in the prayer room. Once you get in there. That becomes a lifestyle. Your heart becomes prayer. Your transformed by the burden to pray. Thousands from all around the country flock to the Prayer room to experience it.

And as a result of their foundation in prayer that is rooted in extravagant love for Jesus, They are in a full fledge revival. They have "Awakening" services Thur-Sat from 6 p.m. to 12 midnight. These services are absolutely crazyyyy! I'll tell you more about these on my next blog.

But while I've been here, Ihop has been wrecking my life! I've had encounters and visitations, I've prayed for a lot of people who got healed, I've gotten a grip on a real prayer life…..but the biggest thing that happened this week was being able to meet a man named Rick Ripple.

Rick Ripple it the Father of Faith Ripple(Who is an awesome women of God that attends my home church in Houston, Tx). He lives in Missouri and offered to pick me up from the bus station when I got here. As soon as I got in the car and started pulling off, I noticed something different about him. On the way to his house(where I stayed the first four day of my stay here), he started to pour out wisdom from another world. I mean I've heard people say deep things about  God but there was substance behind what he was saying. He expounded on the scriptures the whole ride. The best part about it was that he was so animated.lol Was so excited. He was passionate about what he was saying. So full of Joy. It caught me off guard because I just though that he was going to give me a ride and a place to stay for a while. But he gave me so much more. Over these last few days our hearts became knitted together. We enjoyed our time together. He took me under as a spiritual Grandchild. I want to cry just typing this out. I've never met a 67 year old man so animated and joyous about the things about God. He had more energy than me! He loves telling stories. I told him once, "Mr. Rick, I'm gonna pay you back one day". He then replied, "All you have to do is listen to my stories.lol". He must have told me a hundred stories. And I was captivated by every last one. I made him so happy just by listening to his stories. He called them, "Wild Stories". The reason he called them that was because He said Wild Writing is when you just wright and wright spontaneously without editing just yet. Only then can you capture the true essence. So he told "Wild Stories" spontaneously.

We would sit down in a burger joint and he would take simple scriptures and expound on them and they would come alive. I love that man. He's amazing. He didn't even know about Ihop and has a dream to open up his own house of prayer. I'll never forget his "Wild Stories". They changed my life. I will alway remember how he would get absolutely thrilled when someone asked him to do something that most people wouldn't do. He go to fulfill the Gospel…….This is Zion's Horizon

  3. No doubt about it, my dad has faith! He told me once that I cultivated that in him as I was growing up. I don't think so... I think he just got a new taste (fresh anointing) through his daughter.
It was an answer to prayer that you got to meet him and he met you. I asked my parents to take you to dinner. My mom is still recovering from surgery number 2 so you have some time. Hoping to come up while you are there!! Love you son, friend, brother, pastor, ... I missed a couple titles!
